Job summary

Senesco Marine LLC is seeking a 1st Class Marine Electrician to install, maintain, diagnose, and repair electrical systems aboard vessels. The role requires expertise with AC/DC systems, electrical test tools, and strong safety discipline.

You will read schematics, commission switchboards, and ensure compliance with ABS/USCG and company standards. Ability to work in confined spaces and perform physically demanding tasks is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or Navy A/C school preferred.
• 5–8 years marine electrical experience including AC/DC up to 480V.
• Proficiency reading schematics and using electrical test equipment.
• Strong knowledge of maritime safety practices and electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, switchboards, and control systems on vessels.
• Read schematics, schematics, and drawings to determine layout and specifications.
• Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests using voltmeters, ammeters, and megohmmeters.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with ABS, USCG, and company safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other trades during vessel construction and repair projects.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
