Job summary

Toyoda Gosei Americas is seeking a Production Supervisor to direct a manufacturing department, maintain schedules, and ensure quality and safety standards are met. You will plan work, train staff, and administer department policies while leading continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities include coaching Team Leaders and resolving issues across shifts, coordinating with Japanese and local management, and driving PDCA-based problem solving.

Qualifications

• 3 years Team Leader experience or equivalent manufacturing work experience.
• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Basic Knowledge of TPS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Previous supervisory experience a plus.
• Communicate to other departments to achieve the target/Hoshin performing PDCA and problem-solving method.
• Responds to abnormal situations and solves problems with QCD awareness.
• Trains Team Leaders, Lead Operators and Team Members.
• Follows company rules and policies.

Responsibilities

• Directs the activities of a manufacturing department to maintain production schedules and quality.
• Oversees plant operations to ensure safety, quality, cost and delivery goals are met.
• Mentors and trains team leaders and operators; conducts performance reviews.
• Administers department policies and supervises hiring, assignments, and training.
• Investigates machine problems; drives root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Oversees trials of new parts and continuous improvement efforts.
• Communicates with management and other departments to coordinate PDCA and problem solving.
• Maintains EMS compliance and environmental policies.
