Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to establish internal processes ensuring high-quality production aligned with customer demand. You will drive continuous improvement, own project timelines, reduce cycle and cost, and lead lean initiatives across manufacturing teams to meet EHS, quality, and cost goals within budget.

The role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams, leading 5S, and developing training plans, while overseeing capital investments and process documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years in manufacturing.
• High School Diploma / GED with 7+ years in manufacturing.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
• Strong time and project management skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of complex technical concepts in the function.
• Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
• Ability to drive lean initiatives.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience and knowledge of gas turbine components.

Responsibilities

• Proactively solve problems to support production.
• Lead improvement efforts for visual management, tooling, equipment, and safety enhancements.
• Manage projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Own execution of capital investments on schedule and within budget.
• Provide technical leadership and training for operators.
• Maintain and improve process documentation for consistent quality.
• Drive 5S, operational rigor, standard work, and cross-functional alignment.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to reduce consumable costs.
• Develop strategies for new product introductions.
• Develop work instructions and procedures for training and process control.
• Support product qualifications as needed.
