Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Methods and Process Engineer to drive standardization and continuous improvement of manufacturing methods for circuit breakers and instrument transformers. You will lead PFMEA, process validation, and cross-functional projects, partnering with Quality, Design Engineering, Supply Chain, and EHS.

The role emphasizes Lean manufacturing, process optimization, and development of metrics and dashboards to monitor performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, methods engineering, or process engineering in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience leading manufacturing process improvement initiatives and cross-functional technical projects.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing implementation and structured problem-solving methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and governance of manufacturing methods and process standards across production lines.
• Own manufacturing process documentation, including Standard Work, process flows, routing structures, and specifications.
• Lead PFMEA and ensure risks are identified, mitigated, and reviewed periodically.
• Define and maintain manufacturing best practices and consistency across lines.
• Design, develop, and implement fixtures, tooling, and ergonomic solutions to improve safety and productivity.
• Drive process optimization initiatives focusing on throughput, cycle time, labor, OEE, and waste reduction.
• Lead Lean initiatives: Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Events, 5S, Visual Management, Standard Work, SMED, Daily Management.
• Support capacity planning, line balancing, and facility layout optimization through 2D simulation.
• Lead readiness for NPI, product transfers, and process validation.
• Develop process metrics and dashboards to monitor capability, productivity, quality, and performance.
• Utilize data tools to identify trends, root cause analysis, and prioritize improvements.
• Lead cross-functional problem solving using A3, DMAIC, 8D, and RCA.
• Coordinate and lead MOC activities affecting processes and documentation.
• Own routing management, labor standards, and time studies for accurate planning and cost modeling.
• Support capital investments by defining requirements, specs, AC criteria, and commissioning.
