Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a senior plant/process engineer to plan, design, develop and implement major projects that optimize manufacturing costs and ensure safe facility use. You will lead process improvements across substrate attach, die attach, wire bonding, and related operations.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, guiding automation and equipment choices, and ensuring documentation accuracy for product builds and process operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years’ experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred.
• Understanding of electronic manufacturing documentation is a must.
• Experience with ISO9000 or AS9100 is a plus.
• Ability to read and write English at an intermediate level.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies, critical path analysis, earned value management.
• Apply lean/six sigma to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Lead development, implementation, maintenance of manufacturing methods.
• Specify tooling, operation sequences for fabrication and assembly.
• Develop assembly guides, procedures, and illustrations.
• Provide technical guidance to product operations and floor staff.
• Review engineering orders and implement process changes.
• Justify and acquire new equipment (AFEs) and cost-reduction projects.
• Provide training to professional staff and mentor engineers.
