Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Camden, AR is looking for a Lead, Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize manufacturing plans and routings, ensuring cost‑effective, compliant production processes.

You will translate designs into actionable plans, drive continuous improvements, and mentor the Manufacturing Planning team. The role requires a strong background in manufacturing processes, ERP/MRP, and NPI support, with on‑site presence and occasional off‑shift work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years of related experience; graduate degree with 7+ years; or 13+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Lean/Six Sigma certification or training preferred.
• Experience creating routings, BOMs, and work instructions in ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, review, and maintenance of routings, BOMs, work instructions, and planning data in ERP/MRP.
• Translate designs into optimized manufacturing plans, including operation sequences and tooling needs.
• Coordinate with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability and on-time delivery.
• Drive Lean/continuous improvement to reduce cost and increase throughput and yield.
• Provide day-to-day technical support for production issues related to process plans and methods.
• Support NPI by creating process plans, participating in DFM/DFA reviews, and pilot builds.
• Develop capacity and line-balancing analyses to support demand planning.
• Ensure planning documentation complies with internal standards and audits; support external audits.
• Mentor planners and junior engineers, promoting safety and continuous improvement.
• Present data and recommendations to leadership on performance and improvement opportunities.
• On-site production work with occasional off-shift or weekend needs.
