Job summary

BD in Sumter, SC seeks a Lead Operations Manufacturing Mechanic to operate, set up, troubleshoot, and maintain all departmental production equipment while leading and mentoring associates on the floor.

You will collaborate with engineering and automation teams, drive preventive maintenance, and maintain detailed equipment logs to ensure top performance and safety. This is an on-site role with possible 12-hour night shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree in Advanced Mechatronics Technology preferred.
• coursework in Schematics, Basic Mechanics, Industrial Electricity, Problem Solving, Industrial Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, adjust, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment.
• Provide informal leadership and training for associates on the production floor.
• Collaborate with engineering and Automation Control Technicians on projects.
• Maintain PM procedures, logs, and SAP-based records; ensure safety guards and clean areas.
