Job summary

Galadyne in Austin, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own tooling and process development for welded and assembled hardware. You will work with Design, Quality, Production, and external vendors to move new product designs from concept to production-ready processes, including GD&T, weld parameters, fixtures, and rate improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years launching complex welding and assembly processes.
• Hands-on welding experience: TIG/MIG, laser, resistance welding.
• Experience modifying jigs/fixtures and coordinating equipment installs.
• Strong GD&T and dimensional skills from print to fixture to CMM/scan.
• Familiar with PFMEA, control plans, DFMEA, and APQP/PPAP.
• Robot welding fluency with Fanuc/ABB/Motoman is a plus.
• Proficient in AutoCAD/CATIA/SOLIDWORKS.

Responsibilities

• Lead tooling and fixture design to hit GD&T/locating strategy and work with vendors.
• Own project docs: timelines, RFQs, PFMEAs, DFMEAs, control plans, safety risk assessments, work instructions, inspection standards.
• Develop processes/equipment for early prototype builds and capture gaps for production-ready ramp.
• Develop production cells with vendors and ensure rapid ramp to full capacity.
• Ramp quality and rate while enforcing safety constraints through the ramp.
• Provide DFM feedback to ensure the design builds as intended.
• Develop and lock welding processes; write WPS, set DOE parameter windows, manage consumables.
