Job summary

Phoenix Tailings in Exeter, NH seeks a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to scale our rare earth metals production. You will own manufacturing strategy, lead the engineering team, and drive the deployment of production-grade processes and equipment.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to build a domestic rare earth metals capability. You will define manufacturing standards, guide equipment selection, and ensure reliability and cost

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical, Materials, Metallurgical or related engineering.
8+ years in manufacturing/process/equipment engineering in metals or chemical processing.
Experience leading development, scale-up and improvement of complex manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

Lead development and scale-up of manufacturing processes for rare earth metals.
Own engineering strategy for major production systems including equipment architecture and controls.
Oversee installation, qualification and ramp-up of new production equipment.
Build and develop the manufacturing engineering team and standards.
Drive root-cause investigations and implement durable solutions.
Define process requirements and acceptance criteria for new tech.
