Job summary

Phoenix Tailings is seeking a hands-on, senior production engineer to help launch and scale our first commercial rare earth metal facility in Exeter, NH. You will work directly on the floor with operators and engineers to drive safe, high-performance operation and to translate breakthrough innovations into industrial reality.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in engineering or related field required or equivalent.
• Experience leading hands-on process troubleshooting and improvements.
• Ability to work on a production floor with rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate and optimize next-generation metal production systems to meet throughput, yield, and quality targets.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for deviations or equipment issues.
• Drive data-driven improvements to reduce downtime and increase throughput.
• Scale pilot processes to full production lines with minimal disruption.
• Develop SOPs, process docs, and training materials for safe, repeatable operations.
• Support commissioning and startup for new systems and upgrades in Exeter.
