Job summary

Metalex in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to design and develop manufacturing plans for complex precision components across space, energy, defense, and consumer goods markets. You will collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure high quality and best value throughout the project lifecycle.

You will lead process development, fixturing, and documentation, while driving continuous improvement and profitability.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years hands-on manufacturing engineering in Job Shop, Aerospace or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of machining, GD&T, and inspection methods.
• Experience with NX CAD/CAM software and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Review customer orders, drawings and quality specifications.
• Develop detailed manufacturing process routers to meet requirements.
• Create fixturing concepts and designs in CAD (Siemens NX).
• Coordinate startup activities with internal teams and suppliers to ensure quality.
• Manage projects using engineering principles and maintain documentation.
• Work with Quality to resolve issues and drive cost-down improvements.
