Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead a team on the machining of complex, tight-tolerance components using CNC lathes, mills, and grinders. Key duties include process ownership, capacity planning, equipment procurement, and implementation of 5S and Lean initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 8+ years of engineering experience, and leadership experience. Travel up to 5% may be required. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; master’s preferred.
• Experience leading a technical team is preferred.
• Knowledge of GD&T, metrology and assembly/test processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a manufacturing engineering group and hourly technicians.
• Own department processes for machinery, tooling, quality and capacity.
• Support cost reduction projects and continuous improvement.
