Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a team on the machining of tight-tolerance components. The role focuses on process ownership, capital planning, and capacity expansion for CNC lathes, mills, and grinders. You will drive continuous improvement and coordinate with design and production teams.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 8 years of engineering experience, and prior team leadership. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 8 years engineering experience required.
• 2 years leading a technical team preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own a designated production department process ensuring reliability and sustainability of machinery, tooling, capacity, and documentation.
• Lead the new product launch team to design manufacturing plans including operator content and quality checks.
• Manage capacity planning and capital forecasting for the department.
• Evaluate machines and vendors for capacity upgrades and new equipment purchases.
• Oversee installation, robotic integration, and handoff to full-time production.
• Support downtime reduction, quality issue troubleshooting, and 5S improvement.
