Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead and direct the engineering and manufacturing activities for a product line in Dixon. This role focuses on delivering world-class quality and cost-efficient manufacturing support to meet customer expectations.

You will supervise and develop employees, manage safety programs, drive throughput improvements, and lead new product introductions with cross-functional teams. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of engineering experience.
• Track record of successfully managed/facilitated product launches/programs or equivalent.
• Able to travel with minimal notice in urgent situations.
• Strong supervisory skills and training.
• Independently motivated and goal-oriented with a proven track record.
• Solid manufacturing process and quality assurance knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement improvements with MQEs to reduce product cost, improve quality and maximize customer satisfaction.
• Ensure safety, quality, capability and utilization of equipment and processes.
• Lead continuous research and implementation of Best Practice manufacturing methods.
• Assist in development and execution of Manufacturing/Quality Engineering strategic plan.
• Facilitate new product introductions or modifications.
• Review and quote processing and production equipment and tools.
• Develop and maintain effective documentation and control systems.
