Job summary

nVent is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead end-to-end projects, optimize production through Lean initiatives, and support CAPEX with solid justifications. You will design fixtures, resolve manufacturing issues via RCCA, and manage ECOs while mentoring a small team of technicians.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in CAD (SolidWorks), Lean tools, and ERP/PLM systems (JD Edwards, Enovia). Excellent writing and PM skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Extensive experience with Lean manufacturing principles and tools.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and statistical analysis software (Minitab preferred).
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred) and PLM systems (Enovia preferred).
• Strong technical writing, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing projects from start to finish with plans, budgets, and deadlines.
• Facilitate Lean improvements to optimize layouts and reduce waste.
• Support CAPEX requests including justification and equipment implementation.
• Design fixtures to support production and improve quality.
• Troubleshoot issues and lead RCCA for lasting solutions.
• Manage ECOs and update manufacturing documentation.
• Provide mentorship to a small team of manufacturing engineering technicians.
