Job summary

Inteva Products is seeking a Summer 2027 Engineering Intern in Vandalia, Ohio. You will participate in hands-on prototype builds, develop manufacturing processes, and design equipment while supporting PFMEA, cost estimates, and lean layouts.

You will collaborate with a development team on new products, travel to suppliers/customers as needed, and gain exposure to a broad set of manufacturing and lab environments during May 2027 – August 2027.

About Inteva's Intern Program

Inteva’s Summer 2027 Internship Program includes more than your day-to-day work. Your experience will include supplemental learning and development opportunities, such as executive lunch-and-learns and professional workshops. You will support Inteva’s core value of caring for the world and our communities with group volunteering opportunities throughout the summer. Most importantly, you will have fun, learn, and grow as part of a cohort of summer interns. (May 2027 - August 2027)

What will you get to work on?

• Support prototype builds, maintain part build data
• Develop prototype manufacturing processes
• Design and validate assembly equipment
• PFMEA development, cost estimating, manufacturing system design build & install assembly equipment, lean layouts, operator work instructions, cycle time development
• Potential travel to customers, suppliers and other Inteva facilities
• Learn and implement multiple manufacturing processes
• Work in manufacturing plants and development lab facilities
• Hands on prototype part building
• Be a member of a development team who is working on new products

Position Requirements

Required

• Working on a Bachelors Degree in Engineering
• Self motivated
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrate basic engineering and technical ability
• Interpersonal skills, working effectively with a team
• Effective problem solving skills
• GPA 3.0 minimum
• Working on a Bachelors Degree in Engineering
• Proficient with Microsoft Office

Preferred

• Some analytical ability where problems are not difficult or complex
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks for multiple projects
