Job summary

Inteva Products is offering a Summer 2027 Internship with hands-on experience in prototype development and manufacturing processes. You will be part of a collaborative team, supporting prototype builds, data maintenance, and process design in both production plants and development labs.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an engineering degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, possess strong communication skills, and can work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering with minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support prototype builds and maintain part build data.
• Develop prototype manufacturing processes.
• Design and validate assembly equipment.
• PFMEA development and cost estimation; design build & install equipment; lean layouts; operator work instructions; cycle time development.
• Travel to customers or suppliers as needed.

Job description

Inteva’s Summer 2027 Internship Program includes more than your day-to-day work. Your experience will include supplemental learning and development opportunities, such as executive lunch-and-learns and professional workshops. You will support Inteva’s core value of caring for the world and our communities with group volunteering opportunities throughout the summer. Most importantly, you will have fun, learn, and grow as part of a cohort of summer interns. (May 2027- August 2027)

What will you get to work on?

• Support prototype builds, maintain part build data
• Develop prototype manufacturing processes
• Design and validate assembly equipment
• PFMEA development, cost estimating, manufacturing system design build & install assembly equipment, lean layouts, operator work instructions, cycle time development
• Potential travel to customers, suppliers and other Inteva facilities
• Learn and implement multiple manufacturing processes
• Work in manufacturing plants and development lab facilities
• Hands on prototype part building
• Be a member of a development team who is working on new products
• Vandalia Site recognized yearly as one of the best places to work in Ohio by industry rating groups

Position Requirements

REQUIRED

• Working on a Bachelors Degree in Engineering
• Self motivated
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrate basic engineering and technical ability
• Interpersonal skills, working effectively with a team
• Effective problem solving skills
• GPA 3.0 minimum
• Working on a Bachelors Degree in Engineering

PREFERRED

• Some analytical ability where problems are not difficult or complex
