Job summary

Inteva Products is seeking a Cut, Sew, Wrap Tooling & Wrap Equipment Mechanical Engineer to support Vandalia operations. The role involves crafting SORs, coordinating with purchasing, and guiding tool builds to meet spec and schedule.

Travel is heavy to North American sites for launches and ongoing work. Requirements include a bachelor’s in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, strong teamwork and problem-solving, and proficiency with MS Office and project tools.

Cut, Sew, Wrap Tooling & Equipment Mechanical Engineer

Description

• Write SORs and work with purchasing to procure CSW equipment and Tooling
• Provide Labor/FTTO input for program pursuit quote packages for programs with cut/sew/wrap parts
• Manage tool builds and deliveries from suppliers at or below budget and on time
• Ensure procured tools are built to Inteva specifications
• Coordinate delivery and installation from the cut/sew/wrap lab to the manufacturing facilities.
• Effectively interact with Inteva team members and customers on regular basis
• Provide cut/sew/wrap build concept for new business pursuits
• Provide design guidance for product and tooling development
• Business Travel Mandatory to support North American sites:
  • 50%+ Launch Travel
  • 20% Non-Launch Travel

Position Requirements

• Familiar with Instrument panel, consoles, interior parts in general, design, process and manufacturing
• Basic understanding of Allen Bradley PLC programming
• Comprehension of basic GD&T
• Experience working with cut/sew/wrap equipment such as sewing machines bladder machines, press lamination machines and hand tools like heat guns and staple guns
