Job Description Summary

Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Impacts departmental operations and is responsible for planning and execution. The role has some autonomy but focuses on executing activities within an operating discipline covered by standard practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required, typically with guidance.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Perform manufacturing engineering tasks that do not require a 4-year degree, primarily tactical responsibilities (excluding general administrative work).
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, using prior experience and technical expertise to execute policies and strategies.
  • Understand key business drivers and how the team’s work contributes to broader objectives.
  • Use judgment and propose solutions outside set parameters with guidance, utilizing experience and technical skills to solve straightforward tasks. Collaborate with multiple internal sources to make decisions.
  • Possibly serve as an individual contributor with interpersonal skills or an early people leader, providing informal guidance to new team members.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of shop/manufacturing or production experience, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Desired Characteristics
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
