ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate closely with Test and Quality Engineering leads and the Manufacturing Shift Lead to optimize, improve, and execute process testing plans.
- Lead and manage Manufacturing and Machine Support Engineers, coordinating daily activities to support the manufacturing plan.
- Exhibit expert knowledge of the corporate Manufacturing Engineering environment and share this information within the ME function.
- Display expert knowledge of the internal and external engineering environments and disseminate relevant information.
- Drive efficiencies in current technical systems and manage the development of new systems.
- Support the Engineering Manager in evaluating equipment needs and labor forecasting aligned with business requirements.
- Undertake benchmarking and drive best-in-class engineering solutions.
- Lead and manage the Manufacturing Engineering function, including performance and team development.
- Set clear performance metrics, review progress, and conduct performance appraisals.
- Identify training needs and develop individual growth plans, providing coaching as needed.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
- Create and manage succession plans for the Manufacturing Engineering team.
- Drive motivation, consistency, and effective communication within the team.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers, supporting business development and customer-focused problem solving.
- Proactively identify internal customer needs and promote an internal customer focus mindset.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on cost, quality, and delivery metrics.
- Establish service level agreements with engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Lead in key meetings such as TIC and QIC, supporting site and global objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Effective presentation and communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Problem-solving skills, data collection, and analysis capabilities.
- Proficiency in Windows OS and related software, including Jabil’s software packages.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and understand visual aids.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and interpretation of graphs.
- Ability to understand and follow simple instructions and respond to standard situations.
