JOB SUMMARY

Leading the Manufacturing Engineering Department with high efficiency, integrity, and enthusiasm, aiming for excellence in all endeavors. Be a proactive contributor on the management team, focused on continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operate closely with Test and Quality Engineering leads and the Manufacturing Shift Lead to optimize, improve, and execute process testing plans.
2. Lead and manage Manufacturing and Machine Support Engineers, coordinating daily activities to support the manufacturing plan.
3. Exhibit expert knowledge of the corporate Manufacturing Engineering environment and share this information within the ME function.
4. Display expert knowledge of the internal and external engineering environments and disseminate relevant information.
5. Drive efficiencies in current technical systems and manage the development of new systems.
6. Support the Engineering Manager in evaluating equipment needs and labor forecasting aligned with business requirements.
7. Undertake benchmarking and drive best-in-class engineering solutions.
8. Lead and manage the Manufacturing Engineering function, including performance and team development.
9. Set clear performance metrics, review progress, and conduct performance appraisals.
10. Identify training needs and develop individual growth plans, providing coaching as needed.
11. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
12. Create and manage succession plans for the Manufacturing Engineering team.
13. Drive motivation, consistency, and effective communication within the team.
14. Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers, supporting business development and customer-focused problem solving.
15. Proactively identify internal customer needs and promote an internal customer focus mindset.
16. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on cost, quality, and delivery metrics.
17. Establish service level agreements with engineering and manufacturing teams.
18. Lead in key meetings such as TIC and QIC, supporting site and global objectives.
19. Perform other duties as assigned.

• Effective presentation and communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Problem-solving skills, data collection, and analysis capabilities.
• Proficiency in Windows OS and related software, including Jabil’s software packages.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and understand visual aids.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and interpretation of graphs.
• Ability to understand and follow simple instructions and respond to standard situations.
