Qualifications

Job Description Summary

Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Impacts departmental operations and is responsible for planning and execution. The role has some autonomy but focuses on executing activities within an operating discipline, following standard practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required, typically with guidance.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Perform manufacturing engineering tasks that do not require a 4-year degree, primarily tactical responsibilities (excluding general administrative work).
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, applying prior experience and technical expertise to execute policies and strategies.
  • Understand key business drivers and how the team’s work contributes to the area, using this understanding to accomplish tasks.
  • Apply judgment and propose solutions outside set parameters with guidance, utilizing experience and training to solve straightforward tasks. Access technical skills and analytical thinking for problem-solving, often consulting multiple internal sources.
  • This position is likely an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early-stage people leader capable of hiring and developing talent. May provide informal guidance to new team members.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of Manufacturing Engineering Experience, plus a minimum of 3 years in Manufacturing Engineering.
Desired Characteristics
  • Experience with sheet metal or similar environments.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Capability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
