Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an engineer to define and control production processes at our Bangor, Maine site. The role focuses on tooling, equipment validation, and developing manufacturing methods to align with SQDC priorities.

The candidate will gain deep technical knowledge and collaborate across teams to optimize production. Required is a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or HS diploma with 4+ years manufacturing experience) and at least 1 year of CNC experience.

Responsibilities

  • Define and control production processes including tooling and equipment.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing methods supporting safety, delivery, cost (SQDC).
  • Build in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and connect team activities with business drivers.
  • Participate in Lean Kaizen events to support Lean Roadmap and drive improvements.
  • Support New Product Introduction and CNC processes.

Job Description
  • Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing methods to support the safety, delivery, delivery, cost (SQDC) priorities.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.
  • Understand key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
  • A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Regular participation in monthly Lean Kaizen events to support the Lean Roadmap.
  • Support New Product Introduction.
  • Support CNC processes.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing or operations experience).
  • Minimum of 1 year of CNC experience
Eligibility Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to work 100% onsite in Bangor, Maine.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $81,700.00 and $136,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
