Job summary

GE Vernova in Bangor, Maine is seeking an engineer to define and control production processes, including tooling and equipment, with a focus on CNC and NC programming. The role emphasizes Lean manufacturing, problem solving, and collaboration across teams.

The candidate should contribute to NPI and ongoing optimization of shop floor methods. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent 4+ years in manufacturing), at least 1 year CNC experience, and lawful US work

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university OR equivalent with 4+ years manufacturing/operations experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of CNC experience (programming preferred).
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to work 100% onsite in Bangor, Maine and weekend shift 6AM-6:30 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Define and control production processes including tooling and equipment.
  • Validate design specifications and shop floor applications for new products/tools/equipment.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing methods to support SQDC priorities.
  • Participate in Lean kaizen events and support New Product Introduction.
  • Support CNC processes and related manufacturing activities.

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing methods to support the safety, delivery, delivery, cost (SQDC) priorities.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.
  • Understand key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
  • A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Regular participation in monthly Lean Kaizen events to support the Lean Roadmap.
  • Support New Product Introduction.
  • Support CNC processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be willing and able to work weekend shift 6AM-6:30 PM

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $68,500.00 and $102,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
