GE HealthCare is seeking a technically skilled engineer to lead MRI magnet assembly development and process improvements. You will guide cross-functional teams, drive manufacturability, and support global programs from concept through ramp and production.

The role emphasizes data-driven design, statistical analysis, and collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and field teams to enhance performance, reliability, and cost reduction.

Qualifications

  • Familiar with manufacturing processes such as heavy equipment mfg., assembly technology, materials technology, and manufacturing methods technology.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams.

Job Description Summary

Develop, plan, and lead technical support for the introduction of new MRI magnet assemblies and technologies. Provide leadership role for implementing improvements to existing products that enhance performance, reliability, or reduce cost. Interface with internal and external counter-parts to achieve program goals and integrate global activities.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead research and development investigations to develop and test new magnet assembly processes and procedures, improve existing or develop new processes or data mining.
  • Prepares technical reports because of research and development and preventive maintenance investigations.
  • Lead designs, assembly, and manufacturing procedures to guide production specification.
  • Lead new developments in assembly, tooling, and equipment.
  • Supervise technical personnel in performing inspections to ensure workers’ compliance with established assembly procedures.
  • Preparation and presentation of design and analysis reports.
  • Coordinate cross-functional design, analysis, and testing of MRI magnets
  • Drive design for manufacturability, understanding ergonomic and EH&S considerations.
  • Support manufacturing lean initiatives.
  • Provide creative solutions to unstructured product and system design issues from both factory and field.
  • Lead in many phases of the product development life cycle, from concept and product specification generation, to manufacturing ramp up and manufacturing production support, optimizing functionality, manufacturability, reliability, serviceability and cost.
  • Participate in product safety, cost out, cycle time reduction and quality enhancement projects.
  • Support the manufacturing plant and the Installed Base
  • Support and comply with the quality and safety goals of GE Healthcare (GEHC).
Required Qualifications

  • Flexibility in handling challenging, multi-tasking workload.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Capability to generate innovative concepts
  • Statistical analytical skills.
  • Significant amount of experience on data mining and machine learning.
