Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Manager for Structural Heart and Cardiac Surgery to oversee outpatient operations across multiple sites. You will lead scheduling, non-clinical patient experience, and staff coordination to support the Structural and Congenital Heart Center and Cardiothoracic surgery teams at the Heart and Vascular Hospital.

The role requires an Associate's Degree (or equivalent), 7 years of coordination experience, 3 years of supervision, and proficiency with Microsoft

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 7 years of experience in practice coordination in the hospital setting, or a combination of practice coordination and related healthcare experience.
• 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office Applications.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with EPIC/Cadence.

Responsibilities

• Manages team responsible for patient's non-clinical experience including telephone communications, scheduling coordination, and patient records across network sites.
• Ensures schedule coordination for outpatient workups and follow-up visits and communicates with referring physicians.
• Oversees professional and hospital prior authorizations for outpatient procedures and any cardiac testing indicated for all sites.
• Coordinates outpatient and inpatient procedures scheduling for Cardiac Surgery and Structural Heart sites.
• Provides daily huddles and rounding to ensure that registration, scheduling and clinical needs are met.
• Develops departmental policies and procedures manual in collaboration with Director.
