The Program Manager 1 is responsible for the operational and financial management of the assigned Graduate Medical Education program(s). The position requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of ACGME accreditation policies and procedures including new program development and accreditation. It will require a high degree of initiative and independent judgment. The PM-1 will partner with the Director, Graduate Medical Education and the Program Director(s) to help lead of the day-to-day operations of the program by understanding how all projects intersect together to ensure that the GME Department is meeting accreditation regulations and best serving learners and faculty. The SPM serves as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
Bachelors Degree from a regionally accredited educational institution.
Prior graduate medical education experience at the program or institutional level in a Teaching Hospital, Academic Medical Center or Other Healthcare setting for a nationally accredited GME training program.
Minimum of 7 years in an Academic Healthcare Setting, with preference for larger health system settingsOr, Experience that would provide equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.
PREFER: Masters degree in Healthcare, Business, Administration, or Education.
PREFER: Knowledge of federal regulations concerning Medicare funding of GME
Expert knowledge of ACGME accreditation for institutions and programs
Advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Teams
Ability to anticipate problems and negotiate solutions with peers and senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
Experience with web-based data systems such as New Innovations, ERAs, ACGME WebADs, GME Track and NRMP.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
