Job summary

Johnston-Willis Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Radiology Technologist specialized in mammography to obtain high-quality images and ensure patient safety. You will perform mammograms, manage patient care, and operate Meditech and PACS for accurate charges and documentation.

The role requires BLS within 30 days, ARRT-R radiography certification, and vocational school completion. The hospital offers comprehensive benefits and a 10k sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Obtains quality mammograms with the ability to adapt to specific patient morphology.
  • Complies with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self. Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment. Operates radiographic equipment safely and competently.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations (i.e. Meditech). Ensure proper charges are entered and referring physicians orders are verified.
  • Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepares examination rooms for mammography procedures. Monitors inventory of supplies during room rotation and maintain room cleanliness and neat appearance.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of quality assurance and assists the supervisor in the implementation and documentation of all policies and procedures mandated by the FDA through MQSA.
  • Reviews each exam for technical accuracy (i.e. markers on images, technical quality, anatomical positioning, annotation, etc.) at workstation. Completes verification process in PACS.
  • Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties such as film and report filing and answering the telephone when appropriate.
  • Completes and maintains educational requirements.
