Job summary

The Breast Center Office Coordinator role at CJW Medical Center’s Johnston-Willis Hospital involves coordinating patient flow, handling imaging priors, and supporting Breast Imaging operations. Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers promptly, professionally and cordially.
  • Assist with pulling priors and loading CDs with prior images from outside facilities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the radiology information system (Meditech/PenRad).
  • Answer telephone professionally and efficiently; provide timely, accurate information to patients and physicians.
  • Schedule future appointments with Breast Imaging team for timely diagnosis.
  • Place calls to patients/physicians to facilitate appointments, orders and authorizations.
  • Support all administrative functions of the Breast Center.
  • Call patients for follow-up exams and obtain prior images/information.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Breast Center Office Coordinator will:

  • Communicate with customers promptly, professionally and cordially. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of PACS system to assist with pulling priors and loading CDs with prior images from outside facilities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the radiology information system as related to Meditech and Penrad.
  • Answer telephone professionally and efficiently. Consistently provides timely and accurate information to patients and physicians.
  • Schedule future appointments, collaborating with all members of the Breast Imaging team to navigate a patient through the Center to ensure timely diagnosis.
  • Place calls to patients and physicians as necessary, actively works with patients and physician’s offices to facilitate appointments, orders, authorizations, etc.
  • Support all administrative functions of the Breast Center.
  • Call patients for follow-up exams and obtain any prior images and /or information.
What qualifications you will need:
