Qualifications

• Licensure/fluoroscopy permit as required by State
• Current ARRT certification
• Advanced certification in Mammography
• Current experience as radiology technologist
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• BCLS (AHA) certification
• Knowledge of Federal, State and local regulatory standards
• Ability to travel to imaging facilities
• Experience with HIS/RIS systems

Responsibilities

• Lead Mammographer coordinates shift operations and supervises staff in absence of manager
• Promotes teamwork and customer service
• Assists in annual staff evaluations and disciplinary actions
• Performs specialized radiographic procedures to assist radiologists
• Participates in quality and safety initiatives and regulatory compliance
• Assists with complex patient and family issues
• Ensures safe, high-quality delivery of care for patients of all ages

Responsibilities

Under general supervision of the Director of Radiology Services, the Lead Mammographer leads or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or staff. Supervises staff in the absence of manager/director. Promotes teamwork and good customer service. Assists in annual evaluations and staff discipline. Actively participates in the performance of specialized radiographic imaging procedures which assist the radiologists in the diagnosis and treatment of medical disorders. Participates in direct patient care, facility quality and safety initiatives as well as local and federal regulations. Assist with complex and sensitive patient and patient family issues. Ensures quality and safe delivery of care to patients of all ages.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Licensure and/or fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• Current ARRT certification.
• Advanced certification in the field of Mammography.
• Current experience as a radiology technologist.
• Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification.
• Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards.
• Ability to travel to all imaging facilities both regularly and without notice.
• Experience in Hospital Information Services (HIS)/Radiology Information System (RIS).
