Job summary

Vesta Management is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations at 179 Allyn Street in Hartford, CT. The role requires hands-on maintenance across plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and electrical systems with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in apartment maintenance or property management.
• Strong leadership and teamwork abilities with a can-do attitude.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with resident retention initiatives and property communications/notices.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents, applicants, employees and the company.
• Respond to on-call emergencies 24/7 and document work orders.
• Lead maintenance staff and delegate tasks and work orders.
• Oversee physical plant; report to Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
• Inspect units and property; maintain logs and schedules for preventive maintenance.
• Perform plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, painting and appliance repairs as needed.
• Assist with moving appliances and organizing supplies; ensure safety-first practices.
