Job summary

The Leumas Group is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician in Waterloo, IA to lead the maintenance team, manage daily tasks, and ensure repairs and preventative maintenance are performed efficiently.

You will work with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, plan schedules, supervise work orders, and coordinate with vendors, while maintaining safety standards and contributing to department budgets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a maintenance supervisor or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems; HVAC and EPA certifications required; CAMT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate systems and facilities to determine maintenance or repair needs and plan work assignments.
• Oversee completion of work orders including plumbing, carpentry, and appliance installation.
• Inspect units, troubleshoot equipment such as HVAC, and monitor safety systems.
• Assist in budgeting, inventory management, and coordinating with vendors and on-site professionals.
