Job summary

Hawaiian Building Maintenance is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance tasks at our Honolulu site. The role involves basic plumbing, light electrical work, and HVAC maintenance, with responsibilities including guiding staff, responding to emergencies, and coordinating preventive maintenance.

The position entails a 40-hour work week with on-site training, potential weekend work, and after-hours availability for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must pass H.B.M. prescreen check.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Valid Hawaii driver’s license is required.
• Proven experience in maintenance or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of basic plumbing, light electrical, and HVAC is essential.

Responsibilities

• Stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
• Access and work in tight spaces as required.
• Conduct light electrical work, including troubleshooting and repairs.
• Maintain and repair HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Lead and guide maintenance staff and coordinate tasks.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Oversee and document maintenance work orders and purchase orders.
