Job summary

PLK Communities seeks a full-time Lead Maintenance Technician to manage and mentor the maintenance team at our apartment communities in Kentucky. You will perform hands-on repairs, schedule preventive tasks, and coordinate with property management to maintain safety and curb appeal.

The role requires 3-5 years in multi-family maintenance, supervisory experience, and skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years multi-family maintenance experience.
• Supervisory/Lead experience.
• Basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Respond to afterhours emergency calls as part of on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on leader guiding the maintenance team.
• Maintain physical integrity and safety of the community.
• Anticipate, identify and correct problems promptly.
• Perform all property maintenance tasks as needed.
• Maintain grounds and common areas.
• HVAC service and repair (training available).
• Prepare apartments for new residents.
• Complete Work Orders and follow up.
• Ensure proper trash removal and disposal.
