Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Type of Position: Full-Time/Exempt

Office Location: Valley City

Position Description:

This position is responsible for maintaining all processing equipment and the facility to ensure compliance with quality, sanitation, and safety standards. The Maintenance Technician will collaborate with the Plant Manager to schedule major repairs, maintain company vehicles on-site, and oversee grounds upkeep.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Follow all company policies and GMPs.
• Understand and execute food safety and HACCP practices and protocols.
• Perform repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain a spare parts inventory.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment readiness.
• Schedule major repairs with the Plant Manager and external maintenance providers.
• Occasional weekend work for scheduled major repairs.
• Train maintenance personnel.
• Maintain outdoor grounds and building repairs.

Qualifications:

• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Detail-oriented.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
