Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to repair non-functioning equipment.
• Interpret drawings and written instructions to guide repairs.
• Maintain documentation of work orders and PM check sheets.
• Assist Maintenance Manager and Safety Manager with audits.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities as needed.
• Operate forklift, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as required.
• Lead a work cell, train new personnel, and ensure safety procedures.
• Support preventative maintenance and general site housekeeping.

Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Suwanee Plant - Suwanee, GA 30024Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $32.42 HourlyJob Shift: 2nd ShiftWe are on the search for an hourly 2nd shift Lead Maintenance Technician and Leadhand for our growing US office and manufacturing facility located in Suwanee, GA. This role will be a Shift Lead hand.

Responsibilities

• General Maintenance experience
• Reading and interpreting drawings and written instructions
• Perform Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment in the manufacturing process. Suggest and execute countermeasures to repair or prevent future downtime when possible.
• Capable of using most measuring instruments
• Work closely with Maintenance Manager and Safety Manager to assist in auditing equipment
• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities as needed
• Fork Truck driving, use of scissor lifts and boom lifts is required; experience is recommended
• Modifying of equipment, carts, tools, or anything pertaining to manufacturing as needed
• Assisting the Maintenance manager on a as needed basis which includes but not limited to Preventative Maintenance activities
• General clean-up activities
• Must be able to read and speak English
• Maintain proper documentation of work (Work orders, PM check sheets, Usage of parts)
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis and lift 50 pounds on occasion
• Must be available for Monday through Friday shift work and overtime as needed
• Machining and welding experience is a plus

• Exceptional leadership skills.
• Ability to plan work within a work cell and direct the people to accomplish such work efficiently, on schedule and with high quality.
• Disciplined to assure procedures are properly followed in the work cell.
• Knowledge and understanding of 5S and lean manufacturing.
• Capable of effectively training new people and existing people when placing them in a new job in the areas of quality, safety and productivity.
• Ability to recognize safety hazards and unsafe behaviors.
• Other duties as assigned
