Spartanburg Housing currently has an opening for a full-time Lead Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• This position is a hands-on maintenance position that supervises the maintenance staff, along with assigning, planning, and reviewing work.
• Evaluates staff work performance and completing performance evaluations, coordinating activities, and training.
• Works at any property to fill in or help maintenance staff where assistance is needed.
• Conducts required planned and corrective maintenance to building surfaces, fixtures, systems, and equipment.
• Completes electrical and plumbing system planned maintenance.
• Completes carpentry related duties, masonry work, and repairs sheet rock.
• Performs necessary manual labor to keep housing projects in a decent, safe, and sanitary condition including picking up trash and debris.
• Ability to analysis and create various reports within the agency's computer programs.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED, or trade/vocational school certification; with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in skilled trade construction or maintenance, including a minimum of two (2) years of managerial or supervisory experience in maintenance construction or contracting. Any combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the requirements of the position.

Must have general working knowledge of all maintenance crafts, including basic HVAC knowledge. HVAC certified is a plus.
