Our Client seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician for their Completion Office in Houston, TX.

Are you a problem-solver who thrives on keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for a Lead Maintenance Tech to take charge of troubleshooting mechanical and electrical challenges on CNC, Lathe, Mill, and press equipment. In this dynamic role, you’ll be the go-to expert for routine preventive maintenance across our machines and facilities - ensuring maximum performance and reliability.

You’ll lead day-to-day maintenance operations site-wide, keeping records updated in our maintenance system and providing essential feedback to supervisors and managers. If you’re ready to make an impact, drive efficiency, and be the backbone of our production success, we want to hear from you!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the maintenance and repair of CNC equipment and other control-driven equipment.
  • Repair and troubleshoot CNC systems such as Fanuc, Mazatrol, and Haas controls.
  • Proficient with CNC control to adjust parameters accordingly and replace components.
  • Work closely with production to get machines up and running to capacity.
  • Communicate with the supervisor to inform them of situations that may impact production.
  • Compile records of equipment and machinery information to use as a maintenance resource.
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of spare parts of all equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Responsible for all areas of machine maintenance within the area of responsibility.
  • Participate in meetings and subsequent follow-ups.
  • Perform equipment checklist evaluations.
  • Perform safety checklist evaluations.
  • Responsible for recording and updating facilities/maintenance logs in KPA or other maintenance reporting systems.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of five years’ work-related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Machine maintenance 5 years of knowledge of electrical and CNC/machining repair.
  • Machine maintenance knowledge such as crane load limits, forklift repair, etc. (5 Years)
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance (5 years).
  • Current health, safety & environmental (HSE) training as per division training matrix (Includes both regulatory and SES required courses).
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. (5 years)
  • Knowledge of basic troubleshooting of onsite equipment.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
  • Knowledge of welding and cutting operations (non-certified).
  • Knowledge of general facility repairs; lighting/electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Applicable PPE is required to complete assigned tasks.

  • Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
  • Ability to safely operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on equipment.
  • Ability to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
  • Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Ability to concentrate on a task over some time without being distracted.
  • Accurately complete/maintain necessary reports/records in a timely and legible manner, according to applicable procedures and/or work orders.
  • Commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.
  • Ability to be on call for emergency repairs.
  • Organize tasks and responsibilities in a manner that maintains production output standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance inspections according to the standard operating procedure.
  • Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, parts drawings, schematics, diagrams, sketches, or specifications.
  • Complete tasks in a safe and timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively within and across divisions.
  • Deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Be proficient with the use of a multimeter and tools of the trade. Utilize downtime reports to evaluate and prioritize workload according to production needs.
  • Ethical business practices.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Standing - for extended periods without being able to leave the work area
  • Climbing - ladders, scaffolding, work in overhead areas, etc.
  • Walking - considerable distances
  • Lifting - Up to 50 Lbs. minimal and occasionally
  • Pulling and/or pushing – frequently
  • Carrying - regularly carries objects in his/her arms or on the shoulder(s)
  • Grasping - regularly picks up objects with fingers
  • Reaching - regularly required to use hands and arms to reach objects
  • Stooping/Crouching – regularly required to bend forward by bending at the waist or by bending legs and spine
  • Crawling - required to work in confined space, crawl, and move about on hands and knees
  • Speaking - requires expressing ideas through the spoken word
  • Listening - requires the perception of speech or the nature of sounds in the air
