Job summary

Solstice Advanced Materials is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician – Level 4 to mentor five mechanics and lead maintenance on industrial systems such as forges, presses, ovens and fabrication equipment.

You will focus on reliability and efficiency through expertise, problem solving and continuous improvement, working with engineering and operations to implement improvements and maintain product quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industrial maintenance and repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic presses, forging, machining and pneumatics.
• Certified Welder with welding and fabrication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of work performed by maintenance mechanics.
• Lead and mentor a team of five mechanics.
• Use SAP/MRP to manage jobs, parts, and plans.
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.

Position Overview

This Lead Maintenance Technician – Level 4 at Solstice Advanced Materials will mentor and lead a team of five mechanics, performing maintenance on industrial mechanical systems such as forges, presses, high‑temperature ovens and metal fabrication equipment. The role focuses on ensuring reliability and efficiency through technical expertise, problem solving and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of work performed by other maintenance mechanics.
• Provide instruction and guidance on best practices to complete work.
• Utilize SAP (or a related MRP system) to manage jobs, order parts and develop work plans.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of industrial systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement improvements and resolve issues.
• Perform assembly and production tasks according to established procedures and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to product assembly.
• Conduct inspections and tests to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of production activities and product performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in industrial maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of industrial operations, including hydraulic presses, forging, machining and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with advanced troubleshooting techniques and repair of industrial machinery.
• Experience with welding, fabricating, rigging and heavy lifting.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in industrial maintenance.
• Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Certified Welder.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to mechanical systems.
