Job summary

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for Eden Prairie, MN, to support a 500+ unit community. You will perform interior and exterior maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance servicing, with a strong focus on safety and resident satisfaction.

The role requires 3 years in residential maintenance, EPA and CPO certifications, and Magic Pak experience. This contracted position lasts 60–90 days, with a Monday–Friday 8:30am–5pm schedule at our Eden

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of maintenance technician experience in multifamily housing.
• EPA and CPO certifications are required.

• Experience managing and leading 2+ techs.
• Two years of hands-on HVAC and plumbing experience.

Job description

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team at (1) of their properties in Eden Prairie, MN (55344).The ideal candidate will have 3 years’ experience in residential maintenance, be able to manage high work order and unit turn volume and work closely with construction team on organizing unit renovation hand off. The have a lot of Magic Paks and plumbing work on this site so skillsets in that area are key. EPA and CPO certifications are required. This role is contracted and expected to last 60-90 days in length.

This role will be working with (1) community and 500+ market rate units.

Salary: $36-$38/hour DOQ.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 830am – 5pm.

As a Maintenance Technician you will perform interior and exterior preventative and repair maintenance in our apartment community, including but not limited to general maintenance requests, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and appliances. You will be required to communicate effectively with residents, guests, and team members while operating in a safe manner to uphold safety and operations standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct all community maintenance work, resident service requests, punch lists, building inspections, preventative maintenance, and cleaning.
• Demonstrate safe use of hand and power tools and equipment.
• Participate in apartment inspections for move-ins and move-outs.
• Maintain inventory of basic personal tools to complete task requirements including but not limited to a hammer, screwdriver, adjustable wrench, tape measure, and flashlight.
• Organize, maintain, and utilize provided supplies in a cost-effective manner.
• Perform on-call service requests and emergency calls as needed.
• Present an appearance appropriate to the image of the company.
• Communicate concerns of the community with Supervisor.
• Complete additional tasks or duties assigned by community leadership.
• Building systems including heating, cooling, and ventilation.
• Electrical such as GFIs, fixtures, circuits, receptacles, breakers, switches, and fuses.
• Plumbing such as toilets, sinks, and disposals.
• Appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, washers, and dryers.
• Light carpentry and drywall.
• Door and window hardware.
• Window screens and blinds.
• Wall molding and caulking.
• Counter tops and cabinets.
• Vinyl and ceramic flooring covering.
• Weather preparation and clean up including removing bulk trash.
• Clean and inspect common area mechanical and storage rooms as needed.
• Assistance with Make Ready items as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum three years of maintenance technician experience required; multifamily experience preferred.
• EPA and CPO certifications are required.
• Magic Pak experience is required.
• Strong Plumbing maintenance experience.
• Experience managing and leading 2+ techs.
• Must have a minimum of two years of hands‑on experience in both HVAC and plumbing.
• Working knowledge of appliances required.
• Be able to pass a background check before employment.
