Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at two Minnesota properties in Wayzata and Prior Lake. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in residential maintenance, can handle unit turns, and is self-motivated and organized. The role is contract to hire after 90 days.

The position requires reliable tools, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a Kari Koskinen background check. Pay ranges from $26 to $32 per hour, DOE.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in residential maintenance.
• Ability to perform unit turns and basic repairs.
• Must pass Kari Koskinen background check.
• Own basic tools to bring onsite.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors, and other parts of the building.
• Maintain grounds as assigned (trash pick-up, shoveling, sweeping curb/dumpster areas, landscape beds).
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy (cleaning duties).
• Install and repair plumbing, heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
• Install and repair major and minor appliances (washer, dryer, fridge, stove, microwave, dishwashers).
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace/repair parts, test and adjust to resolve issues.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Complete minor work orders (snaking toilets/drains, replace faucets, caulking, door hardware).
• Deliver courteous and efficient customer service.

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team at (2) of their properties in Wayzata, MN (55391) and Prior Lake, MN (55372). The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years’ experience in residential maintenance, have experience with unit turns, have knowledge of basic maintenance, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

This role will be working with (2) communities and 100 affordable housing units and townhomes.

Pay: $26-$32/hour DOQ

Schedule: 8AM – 430PM – split schedule between 2 properties.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors, and other parts of the building.
• Maintains the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up, shoveling, and sweeping curb/dumpster area, maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
• Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
• Install, repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
• Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.).
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains, repair/replace leaking faucets, remove/replace caulking, replace different components of toilets, adjust/replace door closures, and replace locks, deadbolts, and passage locks.
• Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service.

• Have a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance
