Job summary

MITER Brands, including MI Windows and Doors, Milgard, and PGT Innovations, seeks a lead maintenance tech for our Clovis, CA plant. The role requires a strong mechanical and electrical background, effective communication, and a drive to advance within a manufacturing setting.

You will perform preventive maintenance, support troubleshooting of PLC-controlled equipment, and ensure safety and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related work experience required.
• Certification from college or technical school preferred.
• Demonstrable experience may be accepted in place of credentials.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, electronic controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, cutting, welding, fabrication, and tooling.
• Must be able to read and follow blueprints and schematics.
• Sense of urgency and self-motivation; ability to work independently.
• Computer literacy with the ability to learn new software programs.
• Excellent written and oral communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills; teamwork.
• Ability to work in and promote a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform departmental activities per standard operating procedures.
• Perform simple preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and routine part replacements.
• Fabricate / repair simple metal projects.
• Assist Technicians to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including PLC controlled CNCs, welders, and saws.
• Maintain data entry for required written and electronic equipment logs.
• Proper usage of personal protective equipment.
• Adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
