Job summary

UOS is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance operations at our community in Houston. You will lead the maintenance team, ensure timely completion of work orders, and maintain the overall condition and safety of the property.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, resolving outages, performing HVAC/plumbing/electrical repairs, inspecting buildings and grounds, coordinating with vendors, and contributing to safety compliance. On-call rotation is required.

Qualifications

Ten+ years of apartment maintenance experience, with lead or supervisory background.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
EPA certification is required.
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.
Commercial generator experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support all maintenance and custodial staff.
Investigate outages and leaks.
Perform maintenance tasks including repairs on HVAC units, plumbing, electrical and appliances.
Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and systems including irrigation.
Ensure safety standards and company policies are followed.
Be point of contact for outside vendors and contractors.
Prepare and submit maintenance reports and recommendations.
Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance.
