St. Mary’s is a 229-bed, acute care hospital located in Enid, OK. St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center has served the healthcare needs of northwest Oklahoma for more than 100 years. We host more than 125 highly skilled physicians offering specialties in Cardiology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine, Rehabilitation, Laboratory, Women’s Imaging, Wound Care, and more.

Position Summary:

The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting in overseeing and managing the physical operations of the facility, to include facility maintenance, basic equipment repair and construction projects, while maintaining compliance with all applicable codes and standards of government and regulatory agencies. The Lead Maintenance Technician performs a variety of tasks in and around our facilities, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, light HVAC, testing and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventive maintenance, transportation, and various other duties with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Efficiently diagnoses problems and formulates plans for repair in a timely manner. Understands operations guidelines for a safe working environment and practices techniques related to such.
  2. Ground maintenance: Maintains organization grounds to include cleaning parking lot, mowing lawns, snow removal, trimming bushes and hedges, and planting flowers.
  3. General Maintenance and Repair; Carry out routine building maintenance tasks such as replace ceiling tiles; run cables through the ceilings; patch wallpaper, floor tiles and sheet rock; perform routine tests of specialized equipment and documents results appropriately.
  4. Plumbing and electrical: Carry out routine plumbing and electrical maintenance and repair; replace, clean and unclog floor drains and other assorted traps and drains as required; install light switches, repair wires and outlets, install light bulbs and tubes in ceiling and lamps.
  5. Carries out assignments in a timely manner; cleans areas thoroughly upon completion, creating minimal need for repeat of tasks.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Trade school/industry related certifications highly preferred.
• 3-5 years hands-on experience with trade skills including plumbing, electrical systems, heating and air conditioning and general building maintenance and construction.
• Prefer experience in one of these settings: healthcare facility or commercial building maintenance.
• Capable of using various software products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent communication skills.
• 21 years of age, with a valid driver license.
• Flexible schedule.
