Responsibilities

The Job At-A-Glance:

As a Porter at Campus Life & Style, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment for our residents, visitors, and team members. Your attention to detail and dedication to ensuring the upkeep of our property will contribute significantly to the overall satisfaction of our community.

• Maintain the cleanliness of common areas, hallways, and entryways, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Power washing of sidewalks, courtyard areas, and parking area.
• Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
• Clean and sanitize public spaces, including restrooms, fitness centers, community rooms, and other amenities.
• Assist with the setup and cleanup of events, meetings, and resident activities.
• Monitor and report any maintenance issues, such as leaks, broken fixtures, or damages, to the appropriate personnel.
• Keep outdoor areas tidy, including picking up litter and maintaining landscape appearance.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor repairs.
• Assist with the delivery and distribution of packages to residents, as needed.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to support their efforts as required.
• Maintain a positive and helpful attitude when interacting with residents and visitors.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all cleaning materials are handled and stored correctly.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor to build a team of highly motivated, skilled, organized, and productive individuals who work well together and represent the company in a professional manner at all times.

• Bilingual (Spanish and English)
• Proficient in English language
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook
• Consistent communication with updates to lead maintenance tech and Chief Building Engineer
• Previous experience in custodial, maintenance, or related roles is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
• Physical capability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects or equipment.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
• Understands rotating weekend schedule for weekend trash pickup and trash chute clearing
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a neat and organized work environment.

Pay Range

USD $14.00 - USD $14.00 /Hr.
