Base pay range

$19.00/hr - $24.00/hr

Floating Maintenance Technicians are responsible for completing non-technical building maintenance, including resident work orders and vacant apartments for occupancy. Daily trash pick-up and building/ground policing are also required.

Specific Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Preparing vacant apartments for occupancy.
  • Completing resident work order requests promptly.
  • Assisting in inventory control.
  • Troubleshooting, installing, and repairing HVAC systems.
  • Replacing and repairing appliances.
  • Performing unit upgrades/rehabs, including demo, drywall, cabinetry, flooring, doors, tubs, tile, electrical, plumbing, and appliance installations.
  • Installing and repairing plumbing and electrical systems, and general carpentry, drywall, and painting tasks.
  • Working on a routine on-call emergency response schedule.
  • Performing snow removal.
  • Maintaining equipment, storage, and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Informing Lead Maintenance Tech of maintenance and inventory needs.
  • Maintaining grounds daily.
  • Keeping records of material usage, time, production, and other reports as required.
  • Communicating maintenance issues with the Community Manager.
  • EPA certification required for Certified Maintenance Technicians, with record-keeping responsibilities.
Requirements
  • 1 year experience as a residential maintenance technician.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • HVAC Certification preferred.
Compensation
  • $19-$21 per hour without HVAC certification.
  • $21-$24 per hour with HVAC certification.
  • Includes bonuses, on-call pay, PTO, medical & dental coverage, and 401(k) with employer match.
  • In-house HVAC certification provided if needed.
Shift

8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday, plus on-call rotation, closed major holidays.
