Job summary

Willow Bridge Property Company in Arlington, VA, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at a multi-family community. You will manage make-readies, service requests, and vendor coordination while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role requires 5+ years in maintenance, strong leadership, expertise in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and the ability to train staff, schedule work, and respond to emergencies—on-call after hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' maintenance experience
• Proven ability to supervise and lead a team
• Expert-level understanding and diagnosing in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpet care, appliance repair
• Certifications preferred: HVAC, EPA & CPO where applicable
• Effective communication with management, vendors, and residents
• Operate small hand and electrical tools; basic electrical and carpentry repairs
• Basic computer skills; able to operate mobile device and PC
• On-call availability for emergencies and after-hours work

Responsibilities

• Oversee Make-readies and maintenance projects to WBPC quality standards
• Plan, schedule, and supervise daily maintenance activities
• Hire, train, and develop maintenance staff; enforce safety policies
• Communicate expectations and goals within the team
• Lead safety and department meetings with staff
• Perform regular safety inspections and train staff on chemical handling
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for installation, maintenance, and repair
• Apply preventive care to protect long-term asset condition
• Maintain budget awareness and cost-effective procurement of supplies
