Job summary

Avanath Capital Management, LLC in Duarte, CA is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to deliver on commitments to residents and oversee property maintenance with the Community Manager and vendors. You will focus on move‑in quality, timely service, curb appeal and safe operations, while leading maintenance staff to meet Avanath standards.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in multifamily maintenance, 1+ year of supervision, and strong skills in plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry, plus a valid

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of multifamily property maintenance experience.
• One year of supervisory experience required.
• Expertise in plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, electrical, and carpentry work is required.
• HVAC and CPO certifications are highly desired.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Very strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Solid interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Must be available for on-call and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Resident relations: deliver customer service with respect, respond to residents and staff, and manage work orders with urgency.
• Maintenance management: coordinate, schedule, and respond to requests and improve common areas and units.
• Cost control: fix rather than replace where possible and manage supplies within budget.
• Inspect grounds and buildings daily to identify hazards and compliance issues.
• Maintain inventory and a preventative maintenance program per safety standards.
• Lead maintenance staff: train, schedule, monitor progress, and provide feedback.
• Ensure safety compliance: OSHA guidelines and proper reporting of incidents.
