Job summary

Conifer Realty is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Owings Mills, MD communities. In this hands-on leadership role, you will supervise a maintenance team, oversee repairs, schedule preventive maintenance, and ensure resident safety and satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of apartment maintenance experience with supervision, HVAC certification, and strong knowledge of inspections, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience with supervision.
• HVAC certification and knowledge of inspections, preventive maintenance, and Fair Housing.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and safety compliance.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and maintenance schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi or similar systems.
• Reliable transportation and ability to respond within 30 minutes for on-call emergencies.
• High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train maintenance staff to uphold quality and safety standards.
• Manage work orders, make-ready units, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with the Community Manager on budgets, inspections, and resident care.
• Ensure compliance with safety and housing regulations.
• Assist with repairs, groundskeeping, and seasonal tasks as needed.
