Job summary

Conifer Realty is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor for North East, MD, overseeing maintenance and leading a team to keep affordable housing communities safe, comfortable, and compliant.

The role requires 5+ years in apartment maintenance, HVAC certification, knowledge of inspections and preventive maintenance, budgeting, vendor management, and strong skills in MS Office and Yardi; on-call availability is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience, including team supervision.
• HVAC certification and knowledge of inspections, preventive maintenance, and Fair Housing.
• Expertise in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and safety compliance.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and maintenance schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train maintenance staff to uphold Conifer’s quality and safety standards.
• Manage work orders, make-ready units, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with the Community Manager on budgets, inspections, and resident care.
• Ensure compliance with safety and housing regulations.
• Assist with repairs, groundskeeping, and seasonal tasks when needed.
