Job summary

Conifer Realty in Damascus, MD is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for affordable housing communities. You’ll lead a maintenance team, oversee work orders, and ensure safety and resident satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in apartment maintenance with supervisory experience, HVAC certification, and strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and preventive maintenance. Strong organizational and on-call readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• HVAC certification and knowledge of inspections, preventive maintenance, and Fair Housing.
• Experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and safety compliance.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and maintenance schedules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Yardi or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train maintenance staff to uphold quality and safety standards.
• Oversee work orders, make-ready units, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with the Community Manager on budgets, inspections, and resident care.
• Ensure compliance with safety and housing regulations.
• Assist with repairs, groundskeeping, and seasonal tasks when needed.
